Not every sitter is a great match for every pet. That’s why we learn the ins and outs about your pet’s normal routine and needs to help align the right pet sitter for you.
Your Meet & Greet with your matched sitter allows both you and your dedicated sitter to ensure your pet’s are receptive to the sitter and everyone is comfortable and setup for success. If you aren’t 100% happy with the sitter you meet, we will help match you with other potential sitter options to ensure everyone is confident moving forward.
Your customized pet care is tailored to your pet's needs and normal routine, including daily walks with unlimited cuddles and attention!
This level of dedicated in-home pet care allows your pets to stay in their familiar environment, where they feel most comfortable and secure, while getting the daily interaction and love they're used to.
And with daily updates and photos, you can rest easy knowing your furry loved ones are happy and well taken care of!
Standard house sitting support is included as needed. If you need something last minute we've got you covered. Enjoy your travels with peace of mind!
Why We Started Our Pet Sitting Network?
At Pure In-Home Pet Sitting, we know it's hard to leave the pups or pets while you are away. Your dog or pets are a part of your family and it is not always easy to trust they are in good hands.
Boarding or kenneling your dog or cat in a less familiar environment surrounded by other animals where they are at higher health and confrontational risk from other dogs or cats is not ideal. Often, your dog becomes one of many competing for attention and care.
Asking a friend or neighbor to help out often leaves your pets alone for much of the day and competing with a friend’s already busy schedule and other responsibilities.
The last thing you want while you are away from home is to have to worry about your pets. We get it. That is why we started Pure In-Home Pet Sitting.
Our Team
Our team members and the pet sitters in our network often grew up caring for dogs, cats or other pets. We share a common value for pets and ensuring our client’s pets are well cared for as if they were our own.
We are insured, bonded and certified with Professional United Pet Sitters and Pet Sitters Associates to ensure we maintain top quality professional skills and commitment.
We don’t allow just anyone to be an approved pet sitter in our network. We have an extensive screening and vetting process and above industry-standard requirements to be considered an approved pet sitter. Background checks and pet owner references are standard with our vetting process, in addition to other vetting criteria. We are picky with pet sitters and so should you be when it comes to quality pet care!
Our complimentary “Meet & Greet” is included with our service to ensure your pet care is setup for success and your pets are receptive and comfortable with their dedicated sitter.
About the Owner
Pure In-Home Pet Sitting was created because I know firsthand how hard it can be to find someone you truly trust with your pets.
Hi! I’m John Byler, and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, cats, fish, and even a rabbit. Those early years taught me something I still believe deeply today: pets aren’t “just pets” they’re family. And they deserve to be cared for with the same love, attention, and respect we give the people we care about most.
Some of my favorite memories as a kid was time spent outdoors with my Golden Retriever and Yellow Lab, and spending time with our free-spirited cat, Miss Kitty. Those experiences shaped the way I see pet care, it’s not just feeding and letting them out, it’s making sure they feel safe, understood, and loved while you’re away.
Fast forward to when my wife and I were in graduate school at the University of Colorado Boulder, we started pet sitting for neighbors and friends (and eventually friends of friends). It began as a fun way to earn extra income and get our “pet fix,” but it quickly turned into something much more meaningful. We cared for dogs, cats, small pets, and even the occasional chicken coop around Boulder!
Through many years of pet sitting and decades of being a pet owner, I realized something important:
Finding reliable, professional pet care shouldn’t feel stressful or uncertain.
Too often, pet owners are left hoping they picked the right person and without really knowing if that sitter understands their pet’s unique needs, routine, temperament, or comfort level. And from the sitter side, I learned how much better the experience is when expectations, care instructions, and communication are clear from the start.
That’s why we created Pure In-Home Pet Sitting, to provide a more thoughtful, proactive, and personalized approach to pet care. Our goal is simple:
